when I re-open to queries:

Here's what I'll be looking for:
I currently represent writers and illustrators from marginalized communities writing in middle grade, young adult, and adult (fiction and nonfiction) categories. I am only accepting work from creators who identify, or are members of, a marginalized group. When I re-open to queries, I will be actively building my list in the following categories only:
  • Adult fiction—romance, women’s fiction, science fiction, fantasy, mystery, thriller, and suspense.
  • Adult narrative nonfiction—food & wine (not cookbooks), parenting, humor, science, history, pop culture (geek culture).
  • Young adult and middle grade fiction—contemporary/realistic fiction, romance, science fiction, fantasy, mystery and horror.
  • Young adult and middle grade nonfiction—humor, science, pop culture (geek culture) queer narratives, queer history.
  • Graphic novels—adult, young adult, middle grade (including nonfiction).
  • Illustrators—picture book to adult categories

You can also find a more detailed list on the official Manuscript Wishlist website here.

Please note that I do NOT accept queries via email. These are deleted without response.
